Man United: See why Mourinho Set to play Matic in Defence against Spours
Nemanja Matic looks set to play his first match of the season tonight against Spurs – but the Manchester Unitedmidfielder looks set to start in central defence for the Red Devils.
United
have struggled with their defensive options since the beginning of the
campaign, with central defenders Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly both having an
absolutely torrid time against Brighton last weekend.
Chris
Smalling was an unused sub during the 3-2 defeat on the south coast, whilst
Phil Jones has been left in the stands, but the Samuel Luckhurst of the
Manchester Evening News seems to think it’s Matic who’ll deputise at the heart
of defence this evening:

it initially seems) #mufchttps://t.co/BUUcq5obDh
Having lost to Brighton, United are
in need of a big win against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but what do you think
of the idea of starting Matic at centre-back, particularly if other options are
fit and available?
