NOT AGAIN: Madrid and Man United set to agree stunning swap deal
What’s the story?
Real Madrid and Manchester United do not share a good
relationship but they are undoubtedly two of the biggest clubs in the world.
They are set to cross paths once again but this time, they are set to agree on
one of the biggest deals in club football history.
As per reports
in The Guardian, Los
Blancos and the Red Devils are set to agree a dead to swap David De Gea and Raphaël
Varane. The players are said to be willing to be a part of the deal and are
happy to switch clubs as well.
In case you didn’t
know...
Real Madrid have tried to sign De Gea a lot of times in the last
few years. The infamous fax machine incident was the most popular one while
reports suggest that they were keen on signing him in the summer of 2017 as
well.
Manchester United have also been linked with Varane for quiet
some time and it's Jose Mourinho who's said to be the key figure behind it. The
manager was the one who signed him at Real Madrid and he also tried to sign him
at Chelsea and at the start of his managerial term at Old Trafford as well.
The heart of the matter
Los Blancos and Red Devils are still not on good terms after the
failed transfers talks for De Gea and Alvaro Morata. However, if reports are to
be believed, they are set to agree on a swap deal involving De Gea and Varane!
Author’s Take
It's tough to figure out who's better the better of this deal.
De Gea is clearly among the top 3 goalkeepers in the world right now while
Varane is capable of becoming the best defender soon.
