OMG: Messi to frustrate Ronaldo with latest transfer plans
LIONEL MESSI could frustrate Cristiano Ronaldo further if he
gets his wish in the next transfer window, according to Spanish reports.
Ronaldo has cut a frustrated figure of late
with Real Madrid struggling in the league. And he has scored just once in seven
La Liga matches after drawing a blank in Real’s 3-1 win over Las Palmas last
night.
Zinedine Zidane’s side currently sit eight
points adrift of their arch-rivals Barcelona in the table with Messi in great
form with 12 goals in 11 La Liga games.
Barcelona were also more active in the summer
transfer window, bringing in Paulinho, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Deulofeu and
club-record signing Ousmane Dembele while also actively pursuing Philippe
Coutinho.
In contrast, Real spent roughly £40million on
Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos.
And Ronaldo is keen to push forward his
thoughts on who the reigning Champions League and La Liga champions should
sign.
He reportedly wants the club to pursue a deal
for fellow countryman Goncalo Guedes who is currently on loan at Valencia from
Paris Saint-Germain.

But claim
Messi has made Barcelona officials aware that he is also a big fan of the
winger.
PSG’s current front
three of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani makes it unlikely Guedes will
be able to break into the starting line-up at his parent club any time soon.
But Messi reportedly believes Guedes has the
capability to make an instant impact at Barcelona and eventually take the
mantle at the Nou Camp. The 20-year-old joined PSG in January earlier this year
from Benfica after an impressive few years with the Portuguese club.
