See the Reason Why Leicester City will NOT play Manchester United on Christmas Eve
Sky Sports and the Premier League are expected to frustrate many
football fans by scheduling two televised matches on Christmas Eve.
No Premier League game has
taken place on December 24 for 22 years, but discussions are already under way
for at least one game to be shown, as late as 4pm.
Liverpool’s trip to Arsenal is expected to be one of the fixtures chosen for
coverage, moved back a day to Sunday, December 24, which could leave supporters
returning home in the early hours of Christmas Day.
Reds
fan groups have already condemned the proposed decision, with the Spirit of
Shankly group claiming the move shows
Premier League clubs have no
say on the final decision.
