Real Madrid eye Kane for E177m with Ronaldo in decline
The Spurs and England striker has been in supreme form in recent seasons and is seen as the ideal man to make the move to the Bernabeu.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim
the decline of Cristiano Ronaldo, the fragility of Gareth Bale and the
likelihood of Karim Benzema being sold will all lead to Kane being chased.
Real know it would likely cost a massive £177m (€200m) to sign
the 24-year-old but are not put off by the mammoth asking price. Perez is said
to be willing to do anything to return Real to their attacking brilliance
following a slow start to the season.Real are seven points behind arch rivals
Barcelona in La Liga after just seven matches and have scored 10 less goals. Perez
is also monitoring Antoine Griezmann and Paulo Dybala as he looks to add
another striker to his squad.
And one man who thinks Kane would find it difficult to turn down
a club like Real is former Crystal Palace supremo Simon Jordan. He told talkSPORT: “I’m not trying to be disrespectful
to Tottenham, but if Manchester United come
calling for Harry Kane, or Real Madrid – with
an ageing forward line – come calling for Harry Kane, I think in a year’s time
it will be very difficult for Harry Kane, at his peak, with Tottenham potentially
not winning the Premier League and maybe struggling to even get into the
Champions League, to resist the opportunity to move along.”
The Spurs ace has netted 13 goals for club and country so far
this season. And that's after not reigstering a single successful effort to his
name in August.
