Most Seen: Man United plotting big offer for Madrid Star
Jose Mourinho is reportedly set to splash out some serious money to lure one of Real Madrid's key players to Old Trafford.
And
it appears he could table an offer as early as the January transfer window.
The
Portuguese boss is short of midfield options following the injuries to Marouane
Fellaini and, more crucially, Paul Pogba.
Naturally,
Mourinho is eyeing up cover with reports suggesting he is set to offer a deal
for Casemiro, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.
What's
more, the report continues to claim Mourinho is prepared to offer him a similar
wage packet to Pogba which would make him one of the highest earners at the
club.
The
French midfielder reportedly rakes in a whopping £290,000-a-week after
completing a lucrative transfer from Juventus in 2016.
As
well as United, money-rich Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be keeping
tabs on the robust midfielder. After acquiring incredible attacking talent in
the summer, the French league leaders are hoping to bolster their squad with
defensive-minded players.
Since
going out on loan to Porto in the 2014/15 season, Casemiro has become an
integral part of Zinedine Zidane's set up.
The
Brazilian midfielder produced heroics last season as the club successfully
defended the Champions League, while also pipping Barcelona to the La Liga
title.
