Manchest United Romelu Lukaku Top Sky Sport Power Ranking after Scoring Twice
Romelu Lukaku has topped
the Sky Sports Power Rankings after scoring twice on his debut during
Manchester United's 4-0 win over West Ham on Sunday.
Team-mate Paul Pogba (No
4) also kicked off the new campaign in style, scoring United's fourth
in the last minute of normal time from outside the box.
Sam Vokes scored a
double during Burnley's
incredible 3-2 win over champions Chelsea on Saturday to claim
the Power Rankings runner-
Huddersfield
recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in their
first Premier League game, with debutants Steve Mounie (No 3) grabbing two
goals and stopper Jonas Lossl (No 6), on loan from Mainz, keeping a clean
sheet.
West Brom defender Ahmed
Hegazi (No 5) scored a header from a set-piece on his debut during the Baggies' 1-0 win
at Bournemouth, despite Tony Pulis' side only claiming 29 per cent
possession.
Tottenham duo Hugo
Lloris (No 7) and goalscorer Ben Davies (No 8) were among the top performers,
with Lloris making three saves against Newcastle before Jonjo Shelvey received
a straight red card and Spurs
capitalised to win 2-0.
Arsenal hosted
Leicester in a dramatic season opener on Friday, with Gunners
new boy Alexandre Lacazette (No 10) scoring within just two minutes before
Foxes forward Shinji Okazaki levelled three minutes later.
The Foxes got their
noses ahead twice during the game, but a late goal from substitute Olivier
Giroud cancelled out a Jamie Vardy (No 9) double and secured three points for
Arsene Wenger.
